Full course description
This course is designed to empower students with essential skills for independent living by teaching basic information and a diverse set of practical skills related to the 12 Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). A combination of direct instruction and peer modeling will be used to achieve this, and an application element of this course is provided during a small group lab each week.

Instructor BIO:
Camille Ffrench grew up in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She began her career in education in 2017 as a Middle School Social Studies teacher. Over the course of seven year in this role, Camille discovered a deep passion for teacher and shaping young minds. Her collaboration ensured that all students, regardless of their individual needs, had the opportunity to learn and thrive in her classroom. This dedication to inclusivity underscored Camille's belief in providing a supportive and equitable learning environment for every student. After graduating from Concordia University of Wisconsin in 2023, Camille continued with her path of education where she pursued a role with AbleLight College as their Campus and Community Coordinator. Her unwavering commitment to inclusivity and empowerment serves as an inspiration to others, reminding us all of the importance of fostering a supportive and equitable learning environment for every learner.
