Full course description
This course is scaffolded from the internship from year 1, 2nd semester. This course is designed to continue to allow students the opportunity to build employment skills. The ultimate goal of the on or off campus internship is to obtain the skills necessary to maintain employment in their chosen field. The 2nd year internships will consist of the following components: 5 – 20 hours per week of an experience, either paid or unpaid, will last the entire 16-week semester, will allow for a supported job coach with a varied amount of direct support depending on the needs of the individual, and continued support by Career Prep Coordinator.

Instructor BIO:
Tasia graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education. Tasia's experience includes Career Counselor for Career Services at University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she provided career advice and guidance to current and prospective students and alumni through one-on-one meetings and presentations. Tasia has a passion for working with students and mentoring them on their way to success. Her favorite aspect of what she does in Career Services is assisting students in discovering strengths, values, interests, and personality through career assessment.
