Full course description
This course examines the basic elements of financial management to enable leaders to make informed decisions. Leaders will examine the various elements of the balance sheet, evaluate tools to account for costs, manage cash, and assess the financial health of their organization. Additional coverage will focus on internal controls to protect the assets of the organization, manage risk, and ensure accountability.
About Your Instructor
My name is Julie Dilling from Wisconsin, and I am excited to be your instructor this term. This is my seventh year teaching for Concordia University.
Education: PhD in Psychology from Grand Canyon University, MBA from UW-Oshkosh, and BBA majoring in Accounting from UW-Whitewater. A licensed CPA and member of the WICPA and AICPA.
Work Experience: I have worked in private industry, manufacturing and service specifically, as a controller. In addition, I have ten years of public accounting experience in tax and consulting working for an international public accounting firm as well as sixteen years of experience teaching accounting, business, and psychology for a variety of universities at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
Personal Info: I have a wonderful husband, two children, a yellow lab, and a black lab. In my free time, I enjoy reading, boating, fishing, running and spending time with family and friends.
