Course: CEE 0330 | Act 20 Graduate Requirement Modules: Pathway to Reading Readiness 

 

This self-paced module series is designed to support graduate literacy students who did not complete the revised and DPI-approved coursework aligned to Wisconsin Act 20. The four modules provide targeted instruction and assessment in the core components of science-based early reading instruction: phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, and writing instruction. Each module ensures that students demonstrate the essential knowledge and skills required for reading teacher and reading specialist licensure under Act 20.

Presenter Bio: 

 

Karla Erwin, Concordia University Adjunct Instructor  

  

Ms. Erwin is a proud graduate of Concordia University Wisconsin. She has been an adjunct instructor for more than 12 years. Her research interests include Disciplinary Literacy, High-impact instruction, and Intervention Strategies. She enjoys teaching Language and Literacy Development, Literacy Assessment, and Improvement in Literacy Instruction.
